WAMEGO — For the second straight year, the Baldwin High School girls’ cross country teams left here with a state title. The Bulldogs are now back-to-back Class 4A state champions. They have now won the 4A championship five times during the last seven years. Baldwin cruised to the team victory as it scored 46 points. Frontier League rival De Soto was the 4A runner-up with 96 points. Wamego placed third with 101. Four BHS girls medaled Saturday. They were senior Corinna Papps (3rd), junior Connor Twombly (4th), senior Calleigh Durr (10th) and freshman Elizabeth Sigvaldson (19th).
